Broke again

I went bankrupt again.

(Which is something I haven't done in a while)

This time for the ticket to go down to San Diego to visit Alex during Memorial 3 Day weekend.

It took me a while to make this big decision. to go broke again.
I mean, what else can I do rather than traveling during this awful long summer?
So travel it is.

May 22nd Friday, Jet blue $129

May 26th Tuesday, Southwest Airlines $59

I'll make it total as $200

I wish both the tickets were $59.....

Oh, yeah I forgot to mention this, I also spent another 100 bucks on film again.
Cause I used all my remaining ISO/ASA 100 color reversal film during Chelsea's visit, like two rolls of them?
Since I'm low on film already, so spending that money basically is inevitable for me.

(I hate using my EOS40D these days....)

3 rolls of Fujichrome Velvia100
3 rolls of Fujichrome Provia100F
3 rolls of Fujichrome Astia100F
and a Canon EW-83 II LENS HOOD for EF20-35mm f/3.5-4.5 USM

plus 2 day shipping(so that I will get it before going down to San Diego...)

So I'm so broke now. till June.

film junky.

okay.

So a few days ago while going through craigslist trying to sell my keyboard, I accidently found the camera that I was looking for decades(you know what I mean)

it's a film camera.

A Canon EOS3 film camera.

Came out in 1998.

it's like one of the best 35mm film camera still can compete with the wave of digital age.

It's in good condition.

The seller posted it for $250.

For that camera, it seriously is a pretty good price.

And talking about film camera's. I was thinking about building a darkroom in the storage.

I always wanna to develop the film by myself.

Brought a book, called "Build Your Own Home Darkroom"
it has almost every information I needed to build up my dark room.

Excellent!

Doesn't it sound crazy still doing film during these digital days?
I donno. I started photography by shooting film. I missed it. I loved it.
Digital did deliver the convenience, the speed, the low price tag.
But film still has great advantage over silicon sensors these days.
The color, the dynamic range, the gratitude, the personality of each film.
It's all something that digital lacks of.
It's like the classic chucks that never goes out of fashion.

Since I got no funds right now (I put all the money on the camera)
Gonna study it for a while, make up a plan, and wait till I get the time and money to do it.

If I can get that darkroom working. It would be dream come true.

Oh so I'm gonna get the camera maybe tomorrow, super exciting.

Something that I have forgotten.

I found a roll of Fujifilm Provia 100F Slide Film haven't process in my junk box.

So I sent it to Fujicolor process. Took me five bucks and two first class stamps.

Got it back in a small box, the slides are cut and mounted.

It's been like a year.

Almost forgot all those photo even exist before.

Leana do you see yourself inside?

there's also Sasha and Anita too.

Film is just one of the things you can't forget despite how better digital has evolved.
