Why I don not like to travel with airplanes

So…As you see, I was totally thrilled that I’m taking the airlines to go down to Los Angles.
Everything was alright until I arrived at the airport.
My flight to LAXwas canceled. WHAT?! Canceled?!
Had to stand in the line with 300 people in front of me before I can talk to an agent.
The line started from the parking lot.
There was also another line outside on the curbside check in.
“What the heck’s going on?”
Seattle is snowing. Portland is snowing. New England area is snowing.
THAT’S THE REASON WHY!

In fact, this is the first time in my life to encounter this type of thing, airport chaos.

So I waited in line for about 3 hours to get my flight figured out. My family which they took the car they already arrived in Hollywood.

My second flight was delayed again, from 12:50 to 1:45
It didn’t took off till 2:10pm.
I had a chance to enjoy a Burger King Double Wropper before boarding the plane.

The flight was….okay. Cause I didn’t slept the night before, not a bit. So I was basically dying.

The plane touch down at LAX at 3:10 p.m., taxi took like 10 minutes, crazy.
I got some money from my checking’s account and rushed to catch a cab.

I was lucky that I arrived just in time, and the amount of cash I pulled out from my account was exact the amount I need to pay for the cab fee.

The famous Queen Mary was right beside us.

Okay, I’m safe and sound on the ship now.

"At least for now....."

the best things I love about traveling with airplanes, part 2

So....I'm on a flight again. Today.
the flight is on 10:40am.
It's 3 am right now.
This time I'm on my way to Los Angles.

Why?

My family were going on cruise trip
So today we were going to drive down to LA to board the cruise.
We got six people here.
It started as my dad were going to drive me and my brother and sister to a friends house last night.
But the Sienna didn't want to start up.
The engine warning light was on.
CRAP.
The only car left we had is the Scion Xd.
Could only fit 5 at most.
But we had 6.(plus my cousin)
Renting a car is way too crazy expensive.

And my parents didn't want to risk the chance to get caught by the cops and getting fined cause of overloading.

So they sent me to take the plane since I'm the only child is old and experienced enough to take a plane on my own.(My cousin didn't want to waste money on the ticket.)

So....

Southwest Airlines.

And we ordered the ticket.

My dad paid for it.

NICE......

I get to have Burger King for breakfast tomorrow morning!!!

muahahahahahahaha.

(I've been carving it for a while, since the day I left Hawaii...)

the best things I love about traveling with airplanes...

hmm

I love traveling with airplanes...

there's always a burger-king in all the airports I've been to, it always makes me feel good.

the best part of the plane flight, is the take off and the landing.

you heard the engines in full throttle when it take off. the flaps full open...

it's just exciting

and when the flight attendant approaches asking what you want for drink, just so exciting...

I've always love to go to the airport and travel with airplanes since I was small

self disappointment

I failed myself.

I really didn't do a good job this semester.

"I could have done better."
"I could have not miss those quizzes."

these are the words I always tell myself when looking at my bad grades on blackboard these days.

"I spent all my money again."
"I could have saved all those money."
"I should have ate more in the cafe."

thats what I always tell myself when I look at my low checkings account balance these days.

I screwed up again.

Finals are coming.

I'm not so excited about going back home.

I more worried about what should I do to get back on the track.

I failed myself.

good peeps

the more I stay, the more I love the place and the people here

So I lost my bike lock yesterday.

it just disappeared.

but today Leana call me to go find her, she said she had something for me.

it was my lock!

So a girl riding behind me saw my bike lock fell of my bike and picked it up, but because I was riding too fast so she didn't got the chance to catch up.

Then she gave it to Leana to return it back to me.

Such nice people.

I really like this place.

The more I like it, the harder for me to leave.

"idea's"

hmm

ideas

sometimes they come out of nowhere.
(which is pretty amazing)

sometimes they don't even come to you
(which is the reason that makes it sucks)

you nasty little creature.

lesson

One lesson I learned after these years:

Being nice is good, but it's not enough for a girl. You also have to be the special too.

Anybody can be nice, but the thing that makes you stand out is what you have but others don't have is special to her.

being nice is just not enough, you also have to be the "One".

Old days.

So I was talking with Chelsea today.

I met her in the Hale 2 Lounge, which is the place we all used to hang out, but no more.

I said I miss those old days.
The old days when all the dead tree people hung out and spend time with each other.
Chelsea said she feels the same.
Someone in the back ground was playing a nostalgia rhythm song on the piano.

She mentioned that yesterday when she went to katie/Rachael house, in a conversation with Rachael, they were talking about how few people they can see these days.

Rachael said to Chelsea that the only people she saw these few days were only Katie(yeah, definitely, they're house mates), Chelsea, and Ting.

She said:
People these days just focused on themselves more, people I do their own stuff, Ting seem to be the only one that tried to spend the effort to meet everyone.

Oh gosh. Do you know how much that meant to me.
You just feel like after all this long time of dedication, you finally see people that really appreciates you.

it's the best gift you can receive these days.

really, it is.

Right now people just all got busy into their own personal worlds: School got busier, people moved out of the hale's, people get a job, and people start having their personal relationships with somebody else, though, everything are all explainable.

Sometimes I question the phrase: "Friends Forever," is that true?

Yeah, friends forever, but not the same anymore.

Things change, people change during time.

Someone in the back ground was playing a nostalgia rhythm song on the piano at the time.

Yep, I miss those old days we had.

Just to tell all of you, I still love you all as how I used to love you guys. And it will still be the same even after we all separate.

P.S. I will try to see you guys more and talk to you guys these days.

This is all the photos I have till now in my library,(not including the ones in high school):

I've already taken 4 thousand photos just getting back to Hawaii for 2 weeks....
(I have only finish 1/4 of all the Adjusting, exporting and uploading process for the Raw files I took)

And I still have 1000 left took in California still haven't been exported yet and uploaded.

tomorrow will be a great time to do some of it....

reflection

"things could be beautiful when you see it in a different way"

So a lot of things happened during these days after getting back to Hawaii.

I just lost a friend, a friend that didn't really ever exist.
It was just an illusion.

She never treated me as that a friend.

What a joke.

new start

So as what I planned, I was just going to ship my brothers bike to hawaii(he let me take the bike).

But things went way different after we went to search for a bike bag that I can put it in and do it as a check in luggage.
It came out as getting a new bike for myself.

Ahh... crazy

my mom said under $1000, but my eyes were all looking after the mid-$2000's

ah ha

I thought of getting a cross-country, but the good ones are really too fancy, and the price tags of the good ons are crazy too.

No road bikes, thats definitely a rule, cause all of them cost a fortune.....

So I went for an hybrid urban... a flat bar skinny tire bike, which the frame isn't that high, and the pedals has both clip-on and standard platform on the the two sides.

This one was $1599, ESRP $1799(both before tax)
can't really find one of these which is under $1500 and above $1000.

My Mom eventually gave me a choice, don't go back to Taiwan for Christmas and she'll pay everything now and let me pay back later for the $1000. Gosh, that's my ticket!

So I made the choice. No Taiwan this Christmas, but I get a bike!

I used to be a pretty intense biker, but after my old bike got stolen in 11 grade, I kinnda quit that habit and went into photography. My strength decreased a lot after that incident. Although I found my bike 9 months later on a online bidding page and got it back through the police, but still things was different from before.. And life got crazier and busier than before.. almost no time for anything except for applying for school. Eventually I sold my bike before leaving for college.

So right now I get a chance to restore the strength I had before, and I finally could do something on those boring Church Sundays when everyone is away to go chat with god(which is something meaningless to me) I plan on going biking around the island on the road. It will be super fantastic, cause after school ended this april, I've gained so much on my belly, and is approaching 150lbs right now, crazy!

Hmm, another thing to worry about, since it's a crazy good bike in school(comparing with all the others), I need a super heavy duty lock that is for sure....

missing something

I eventually have to send my Macbook Pro to fixthose minor issues.

It's easier to get it fix here rather than waiting till I get back to hawaii. Because it takes only 20 minutes to get to the nearest Apple Store, while in Hawaii it take over 1.5 hours even to reach it.

So, I sent it in on Saturday afternoon.

It has been 3 days since I sent it in.

Life is hard without it.
I gotta says it's really a pain in the butt(I'm try not to use bad words here) using a crappy windows pc as a replacement right now.

Nothing on the pc feels right, even while I am typing this blog.

Without my Macbook Pro around me, also means lack of the ability to process all the photos I took in Redwood National Park last weekend.

Sorry to disappoint you Brooke, didn't mean to miss the photo of the week thing we agree to do together.

Life feels like missing something when I don't have all of these things with me: my camera, my mac, my iPod with my earphones, my cell phone, and my Burt's bees lip balm.
Kinnda a big list. But it's what work on me.

Thinking on the bright side, when I get it back, it will be like problem free again.
A new LCD display pannel that will make it easier when editing photos without those anoymous gray spots, a new Superdrive hopefully I can burn CD's again, and a new touch pad with a fixed power switch that doesn't sinks into the case.

Wish me good Luck that I can go pick it up tomorrow evening in VallyFair.

It better be done by then....

Ashamed.

Sometimes, I feel ashamed of being a Chinese.

Watching those Communist bastards think that they can do anything they want.

the Beijing 2008 Olympics? Just a show case only.

the Olympics was supposed to be a event for all the athletics to compete with each other.

But now it turned into a Political tool to demonstrate your power.
Disgusting.

So a lot of times, I prefer that I'm a Taiwanese.

Belongs to the Republic of China.

not you disgusting Communist PRCs.

Photo: beach walk

Just sitting on the beach on day when we went to Half moon bay. so flipping on the side, I suddenly noticed the people walk on the beach could form a interesting picture with the back ground. I grabbed my camera and use the telephoto lenses I had on it and took the photo. But I didn't notice it came out that the other people on the beach in the back ground formed such a interesting pattern. From right to left, big to small, near to far. that wasn't I was expecting in the first place.

Thats one of the small things when you take your camera with you all around the place, you never know what will surprise you when you look at them after you took it.

Game over. Done. Finished.

so...

basically...

things are screwed up

I pay most of the responsibility.
(I think so.)

Sorry to let all you guys down.
Especailly you.

"no 10 thousand fotos."

I failed.
haha.
loser.(Ting#2 laughing at Ting#1)

So, here I come, California.

See you guys in the end of August in school.

(Or maybe not? anything could happen. plane crashes, hit by a truck, killed by a refrigerator fallen from the sky, accidently swallow a loaded gun? alien kidnap? Get raped and killed by a Gay Bay gay? die naturally? Or just killed by my own camera dropping from atop?)

[If my time comes, I will go, but know that I love you people, especially .]

don't take these word too seriously, sometimes taking my words seriously does creates real trouble.

Although I know it's against the law here(cause I am not 21 yet) and against your belief,
but a few strong alcohol drinks will do the job of making me feel better.(I haven't done it in a while. miss it a lot.)

Oh crap! I still owe her like $50.(basically all gas money.)
